Dialogue (NOMOPHOBIA)

Sarah: Stop checking your mobile phone! Now you’re with me and we should talk as before.

Blake: One moment please! I’m talking with my mum!

Sarah: Oh my God! Do you think that I’m stupid? Don’t use this ridiculous excuse.

Blake: It’s truth!

Sarah: You need to stop it! If you continue like this you will lose all the persons that you Love.

Blake: Don’t start again...

Sarah: Because you mean a lot to me and you know it. How will you feel if you want to talk with somebody and they are ignoring you?

Blake: But I’m listening you.

Sarah: it’s not enough. The communication consists of a conversation between two persons minimum. And not only listening.

Blake: I know it...

Sarah: Give me your iPhone!

Blake: Why?

Sarah: Give me tour iPhone! Okay thank you. Please try to live without it for a week. Your life will improve. You will be less stressful! And I’m sure that your social life too.

Human rights: Education

Human rights are the rights you have simply because you're human (click in). I'm going to write to answer this question:  Which human right were you not familiar with?

I choose the right to education and I should to be familiar with it. But it's not the case.  We're living in a modern society but I'm not sure about it. Why? Because I don't see anywhere that all the humans rights are carried out .  I'm talking about education, the human rights say: "Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit." So, with this definition everybody has the possibility to study. But the hard truth is that not everybody can do this. If you want to go to university you can’t always afford to do it. I know that scholarships exist but it's not available to everybody, only the brilliant students can get this. This has to change, education is a human right so the government has the obligation to put more money in to this, for our futures. I mean the future is us. if we don't have the possibility to go we can't form our lives. I know that some brilliant minds like Steve Jobs didn't go to university but not everybody is like him. So on facebook are a group called selectivitat 2014 and a lot of comments said that they can't go to the university because they didn't have the sufficient mark to opt for a scholarship and didn´t have enough money to pay the university fees. So it's necessary to extend this right. The people who want to study need the possibility to be able to do it.. Also, if everyone has the right to education why are there a lot of people illiterate? Education is the key, the key of progress and we are not going to progress in this way.

How everybody knows the tradition is the boys give a rose to the girl and the girls give a book. So I hoped that my dad or my brother would buy one for me but they didn’t do it. With Lídia we decided to go to Figueres and buy some books. And we did it. Also we could see that everybody was in love, all the Rambla was full of couples ( the girl with a rose in her hand and the boy probably the book in his backpack) for that reason we felt a little depressed but we were happy for them. I decided to buy a cupcake of chocolate (amazing cupcake) and I enjoyed a little more. Now I can see how commercialism affects us. Because our society profits from the 23 of April to sell more and more so it’s another day to raise the sales.

Even though a lot of people don’t remember the story of the importance of the day. I want say that when I returned to my house my father gave me a book so I am also a bit commercial as well!

"Setmana Santa"

A desired week for all students of second batxillerat. I want to talk about this break that we had. A break that for my opinion we needed. I’m sure if we didn’t have it I wouldn’t be able to finish batxillerat. My body needed a break to disconnect from the school world, I needed new air.

I’m also thankful for it because if we didn’t stop we can’t stop until selectivitat (more stress). So we can use this week to work but also for our time. In my case I used this time for ballet but also to go out and meet with my friends. How I explained in another post I had an awesome excursion with very good weather.

So after these seven days I was prepared to start gain. With enthusiasm to finish the little time which we will spend in a place where I will never come back to. For this reason I will try to enjoy it. After this explanation I want to show that if we only work it is not good for us, we need to have fun as well.

A little break in our life

There (the first photo) we can see a beach from “Cap de Creus”. This is a typical Mediterranean place. The beach seems like a big pool which ends at the open sea. This reminds us summer. The water, which is as blue as the sky and as clear as diamonds, is so awesome and extraordinary that it seems unreal. This photo was taken yesterday. With some friends we did an amazing excursion across the coast. We walked six hours but the landscape was indescribable. Our plan was  to disconnect from the world and we did it. This was a time to realize about how beautiful and magical the Costa Brava is. The second photo  is the photo before we jumped into the sea for the first time of the year (18/04/2014). The water was very cold at the first moment. But we had a sensation of liberty, how I said before, we disconnected from the world. I want to recommend  to you that someday you  do it!

Operation bikini

It’s time for operation bikini. Yes, the summer will come back in a short time so I’m sure that the gyms will be fuller. Everybody is a little scared about their body. Summer times means beach time and it means bikini time, so we need to be in form to look good. People start diets again. But my operation bikini is to go to the gym, also do come abdominals while I’m in class. They consist of breathing in with your stomach in, hold 20 seconds. And then you have to breathe out. So you take advantage of your time because you are doing two things at the same time. With my cousin we decided to go to the gym on New Year’s Day and we still haven’t been! But today after 3 months we’re going to the gym!

But I propose another thing apart from gong to the gym her name is “dance walking” a new fashion in exercise. While you’re walking you dance, jump and you do whatever you think about. So you enjoy the place (that you’re seeing) and you dance. A mixt of dance and walk. And it must be so funny and funnier that if you do this with your friends. Also it does not cost any money!
